Property Details
A spacious 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa, superbly located centrally in Kalkan village, not up the hillside, 200 m from the beach, 150 m from the centre of the main street.
On the ground floor a large, air-conditioned double bedroom, 5.7m x 3.8m, with a king sized bed, dressing room and ensuite shower room and an air conditioned twin bedded room with adjacent shower room, both with access to the gardens and terrace. A 9th person can be accommodated in the double bedroom on a good quality fold up bed for an additional charge of £50 pw.
The first floor comprises an air conditioned sitting room, 5.7m x 5.25m with balconies overlooking the bay with 3 sofas and seating for nine. There are DVD and CD players with a range of CD/DVDs (bring your own if you want to.) There is a large separate kitchen/dining room with an extensive range of units, 4 ring gas hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer with balcony overlooking the gardens and private pool.
The second floor comprises a large, air conditioned double bedroom again with a king sized bed bed, dressing room and bathroom with jacuzzi and shower and two balconies overlooking the bay and the fourth bedroom, air conditioned, with twin beds, ensuite shower room and balcony overlooking the garden, pool and the sea.
On the third floor you can enjoy a BBQ on the roof terrace watching the sun go down and the stars come out over the harbour, mountains and the town. There is also an attic room with a sink, the washing machine and fridge.
The house is surrounded by unusually large private gardens containing a private pool, about 32 sq. m. and a jacuzzi, 4 sq. m with 13 hydro air massage jets and terrace with tables, chairs, sun beds and umbrellas so you can sunbathe, swim, dine and relax. This picturesque former fishing village offers a more sophisticated holiday than the average resort. The white washed houses rise up the hillside from the harbour overlooking a beautiful bay. You can browse in the shops in the narrow streets which wind through the town, looking at glassware, silver, jewellery, clothes, carpets and the traditional hand painted pottery. You can relax in the street cafes or spend time in one of the nearby beach clubs. You can take a dolmus (local bus) to nearby Kas or to the bustling town of Fethiye. For the more adventurous you can hire a jeep to tour inland or along the coast or you can take part in the many water sports offered, scuba diving, sailing, snorkling, cruising on a gulet, parasailing or just swimming. For those who want to explore the ancient historical sites there are many to choose from. In the evening there are a multitude of places to eat in Kalkan, from the harbour side and famous roof terrace restaurants to the street cafes and bars, forever popular with the teenagers. Travel Details Taxis are plentiful and the local bus service (dolmus) provides frequent transport to nearby Kas and the larger town of Fethiye. The dolmus will also take you to Kaputas Beach or Patara beach or any of the many other attractions in the area.
