Area Details The municipality of Mont-Tremblant is a combination of the original village of Mont-Tremblant, the Quebecois town of St-Jovite, and the new pedestrian resort village known as Tremblant. Tremblant resort was created at the foot of Mont-Tremblant by Intrawest, the developer of resort areas throughout North America, and most recently, France. The area is famous for its skiing, as Mont-Tremblant is the highest peak in the Laurentian mountains at 3000+ feet. It also is home to the largest provincial wilderness park in Eastern North America, Tremblant Provincial Park. Lac- Tremblant is a beautiful lake surrounded by the Laurentian mountains, which is located next to the resort village, and the area now hosts 7 acclaimed golf courses, including 2 which were rated in the top 10 resort courses in Canada in 2000.
