One of our lovely villas with pool,surrounded by spectacular scenery at the foot of the mountains along the Turquoise coast. 5 minutes walk from the centre of this delightful market village of Dalyan. The village is set on the river opposite the ancient Lycian rock tombs and 3000 B.C. city of Caunos. Meander past these wonderful sites along the reed beds to the unspoilt and empty 7km Iztuzu beach, where the loggerhead turtle nests.

Area Details
This conservation area is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Wildlife including storks, rare birds, flying fish, dolphins and turtles are all part of this small town. mud baths, turkish baths, thermal springs, swimming in the fresh water lake or the clean gently shelving beach, exploring the ancient Lycian city and Rock tombs are all essential experiences. In August see the perseid meteor shower from the complete darkness of Koygeciz lake on your own boat. For the more active, white water rafting, horse trekking, canoeing, hill walking and jeep safari can all be arranged.Sea & river fishing are available as is scuba diving. Alternatively hire a gulet at the nearby beautiful Gocek and live like a millionaire for the day for next to nothing. The locals will ensure you have a most memorable time in this wonderful unspoilt corner. A delightful place to explore the exotic culture of Turkey.
Travel Details
Transfers are arranged from Dalaman airport, 20km away. Taxis are cheap and plentiful as is minibus hire. Bus services are regular and cheap. Boat hire and taxi boat are an integral part of Dalyan and easily hired complete with captain and cold drinks and food. |
