Property Details
On a secluded five acres of pristine rainforest beachfront in one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth, this handcrafted bamboo/hardwood house lets you escape the hustle of civilization and safely and comfortably enjoy countless natural wonders. Casa Bambu is comfortably furnished, with a complete kitchen and bathroom, pure artesian well water, and a solar electric power system with 110 volts (like the U.S.). Our American managers are available to help make your stay easy and fun. Readily available services include grocery shopping, meal preparation, maid/laundry and transportation. Amenities include: spacious kitchen/dining areas; refrigerator/freezer; cooking utensils provided; linens provided; large up & downstairs porches; ceiling and bed fans; comfortable furniture; hand-crafted 4-poster beds with custom-fitted netting; ocean view; landscaped yard with flowers, tropical fruit trees, & lawns sweeping to the beach out front; indoor & outdoor showers; caretakers; English-speaking managers. Area Details Located in the same vast, uninterruped rainforest as nearby Corcovado National Park, Casa Bambu is located on the tip of the Osa Peninsula, where the rainforest meets the sea. Outside Magazine calls the Osa 'Costa Rica's great untamed peninsula,' and says: '…the old Costa Rica, a country of unspoiled rainforest, abundant wildlife, rustic facilities…does still exists…on the Pacific Coast's rugged Osa Peninsula.' National Geographic calls Corcovado one of 'the most biologically intense places on earth.'
After visiting our house, Lonely Planet's Costa Rica recommends Casa Bambu as a place to stay.
Home to four types of monkey, hundreds of bird species, sloth, iguana, anteaters, iridescent butterflies and myriad varieties of vegetation, this magical place offers the rare opportunity to experience nature at its most spectacular and unspoiled. From your porch see macaw and toucan fly by and monkeys swing past through the forest canopy. Without leaving your front yard, enjoy spectacular sunrises over the magnificent Golfo Dulce, a beautiful secluded beach and shore fishing. Or venture out to pristine waterfalls, deep-sea waters, rainforest trails and more breathtaking scenery and unspoiled sand and surf. Travel Details Taxis, bus, plane, rental car
