In his lemon estate in the countryside of Taormina, Prince Gabriele Alliata di Villafranca has refurbished five cottages from what was originally an old farm building, known as “Le Case del Principe” located between mount Etna and the bay of Taormina. The cottage equipped for six (Polyphemus) consists in: two double bedrooms with their own bath en suite , a small mezzanine with two single beds over the living room for children 5/15 , a living room including kitchen corner and an individual patio with garden. All rooms have been equipped with air conditioning units (hot and cold air). A spectacular swimming pool with mediterranean gazebo and solarium is available for guests in the lemongrove 30 metres distant from the cottages. Absolute privacy is assured thanks to a barrier of bamboo canes and greenery between one cottage and the next. Area Details The holiday homes are located amid the peace of the Sicilian countryside, 2 kms away from the sea and 7 kms from the center of Taormina. They are close to the spectacular gorges of Alcantara, the Agrò valley and mount Etna. The town of Syracuse, Noto capital of the sicilian baroque and Piazza Armerina famous for its roman mosaics, are approximately 1,45 hours away by car.
