The villa is on a hillside with fantastic views all round. You can see Kalkan bay from the swimming pool.
This villa has been furnished with thought to every detail and has many extras not normally found in a holiday home. The villa sleeps up to 6 in the 4 bedrooms so that the special ambience can be fully enjoyed. Also the villa is at the end of a road with only the olive covered hillside beyond with nothing to mar the view.
The open plan ground floor comprises a sitting room that has two double settees and two armchairs with leg rests and coffee tables. There is a TV with satellite system, DVD player, CD player and a selection of board games. Double doors lead onto a covered outside dining area with wrought iron table with frosted glass top, and chairs. The kitchen leads off the central atrium, with its wrought iron and wood spiral stair way.
Additional air conditioning has been professionally installed to ensure comfort through out the villa at all times.
The kitchen is well kitted out with washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven with gas hob and extractor fan, fridge-freezer, coffee percolator, microwave, water cooler, kettle, toaster, ample china, cutlery and cooking utensils.
The first floor contains the master bedroom (5ft bed)with ensuite shower room, open landing area with access to second smaller double bedroom (4'6" bed), also with ensuite shower room. Both rooms are air conditioned and have outside balconies with seating, and there is a hairdryer.
The second floor has two single attic rooms (limited head room)with 3ft beds and these share a shower room on the same level. Both rooms have a terrace and air conditioning.
All opening villa windows have insect screens, and spare adaptors to fit UK plugs are provided in each room. Also provided in each bedroom is a mosquito adaptor that will take standard tablets.
Outside there is a private pool and terrace surrounded by well stocked gardens and pots. 6 sun loungers, and 3 umbrellas are by the pool. There is another patio table and chairs looking down over the fantastic view of the bay.
Airport transfers and air conditioned car hire can be arranged on your behalf to avoid waiting at the sirport on arrival.
We have a personal housekeeper who will provide a weekly cleaning service and an end week towel and linen change. The pool will be checked and cleaned and the garden watered daily. Fuller details can be sent on application.
Akkaya is a non smoking villa, and because of the local terrain is not suitable for young children or the infirm. Area Details Kalkan is a quiet and charming Mediterranean port with a host of restaurants, many on the roof tops. There is a wide variety of shops for those who like to browse, offering local goods and antiques, and most of the owners will love to barter with you.
Apart from several hotels with excellent facilites (large pools, turkish baths, tennis courts etc) where non residents are welcomed, there are several beach clubs where for the price of a sun bed you can laze the day away and swim in the azure sea. Snorkelling is excellent and there are two good diving schools locally, one in Kalkan and one in the next bay, Kalamar. Kalkan itself has a small beach and wonderful sandy beaches can be found within a short drive in either direction from Kalkan.
There are many historical sites worth visiting and close at hand in the Taurus mountains you can visit villages where the traditional way of living and farming still continues.

Taxis are cheap and readily available.
