The Jewel Of The Bay is a large villa in the exclusive Club Patara village. Enjoying a commanding position overlooking Kalkan town, the views also extend across the inlet to give a spectacular sunset panorama.
The villa boasts an extremely large private terrace, perfect for breakfast, lunch or sundowners. The terrace barbecue quickly becomes a favourite cooking location. A fully featured kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine make self-catering is a breeze. Natural wood and stone features combine with two working fireplaces to lend a comforting rustic feel.
The terrace leads off both living room and the kitchen making it a focus of the villa. Featuring dining furniture, night lighting and wonderful views, this quickly becomes the villa's meeting point. Feel free to bring one of the villa's CD players out here to enjoy some music as you watch the sunset.
The two large bedrooms enjoy commanding views over the sea towards both the marina and the mountains. One bedroom has a double bed, ensuite bathroom and juliet balcony. The second bedroom is a triple, the third bed being 6ft (180cm) long with a bathroom just outside the bedroom. Both bedrooms have airconditioning and a CD/MP3 player with remote control. Including the third WC downstairs, there are three WCs in the Villa.
The large lounge opens onto the terrace. With the felxibility of two double sofabeds, this really is a wonderful room. Relax to your favourite music in here with the CD/MP3 player, enjoy cable TV or a DVD.

Majestically sculpted into the bay at Kalkan, the Patara Prince resort is a Mediterranean garden paradise. The resort has been built using natural stone with delightful winding pathways, open squares and abundant greenery to give a charming village atmosphere.
Set at various locations across the resort are four swimming pools, including one freshwater and one adults only sea-water pool. The grand pool directly overlooks the turquoise sea and is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Heading towards the sea are sunbathing terraces and waterfront jetties for diving, boat trips and watersports. A health center with a gym, Turkish bath and indoor pool is also onsite. The finest pearl of the Lycian coast is Kalkan. Nestling in a bay surrounded by hidden beaches and coves, its beautiful marina and Mediterranean charm look onto the emerald turquoise sea.
With a fabulous selection of restaurants this is a wonderful place to sample real Turkish cuisine. Turkey is one of the only truly self-sufficient countries in the world so the choice of food is amazing. A trip through the local market is always a colourful experience and a great place to find the freshest ingredients.
The old town offers a delightful shopping experience with locally made treats such as rugs and bags, together with elegant designer clothes. If the experience becomes so enjoyably overwhelming that you need to share it with friends then Kalkan has an internet café and post office as well as banking facilities.
Some of the best beaches in the area are only accessible by water. Kaputas beach is a short ride away, as is Patara beach with 14km of secluded white sand, backed by sand dunes and ancient ruins.
For those with an eye for history, ancient ruins surround the area. It is estimated that civilizations dating back 10,000 years have inhabited this region and now that new roads have been built, ancient ruins are more accessible than ever. The ancient Lycian capital of Xanthos, overlooks the sea just a short drive away.
