Sunset Blue is a stunning 2 BR/2BA apartment on west coast Barbados in a quiet residential area within walking distance to best restaurants/beaches and shops.Excellent facilities including pool/tropical garden visited daily by green monkeys! wireless internet/air-con/fans/twice weekly maid service/all bedlinen towels provided,beach chairs,BBQ. We also provide a region-free dvd player and have an extensive dvd library for your use. Children are welcome and baby equipment is available including strollers and high chairs.
Area Details
Local attractions include picturesque beaches,wonderful beachside restaurants with bars on the beach and regular"happy hour" specials, and the famous Sandy Lane golf club.
All year the weather is hot and sunny, only the celebrations change!
February boasts Holetown's festival which lasts for 2 days and hosts local crafts and Bajan food.
In the summer Barbados has various cross country car racing as well as surfing competitions on the East coast. The summer season ends with "Cropover", a large festival which celebrates the sugar cane harvest with street fairs and a carnival.
For those keep-fit enthusiasts there is a gym and also tennis courts in Holetown. Sandy Lane Golf Club is within walking distance. December is time for the serious walkers/joggers as Barbados hosts its annual Marathon.
Mullins beach is the place to go for water sports......it is about a 10 minute drive north of the apartment. On a Sunday afternoon you can sit on the beach and listen to the live steel band who play there every week.
Travel Details
A regular bus service runs around the island. Taxis are also available. We are happy to advise about car rental/drivers permit.
