Located in Mazarron in the region of Murcia, south eastern Spain, Villa Andrés is situated in a quiet residential area which is also part of a tourist complex. On-complex leisure activities include golf, ten pin bowling, together with a communal pool and relaxation area. Restaurants offer Italian, Indian, Chinese, Spanish and English food but excellent shopping facilities also make self-catering an equally good option. The beaches of Puerto de Mazarron, Bolnuevo, Isla Plana, La Azohia and Aguilas are between 20 and 50 minutes away and offer first class water sports, safe beaches, pretty views and opportunities to explore the diverse countryside. Further afield the cities of Murcia and Cartagena offer opportunities for sight-seeing and sophisticated shopping. Area Details Mazarron and its sister Puerto de Mazarron offer excellent facilities and a lively nightlife. The coastline of the Costa Calida stretches 250 km from the beach of Caroline in Aguilas to the beach of El Mojon on the border with Alicante. The coastline has spendid beaches and unspoilt rocky inlets providing stunning opportunities for diving together with a characterful Roman fishing port in Aguilas. The Mar Menor is the world's largest salt water lake and as it is very shallow it is one of the safest places to swim. Inland, Mazarron is surrounded by mountains and the Sierra Espuna National Park. The busy port of Cartagena is also worth a visit. Travel Details Public transport in the area is good with regular bus services and a rail link at Alham de Murcia about 13 km away. Car hire is, however, recommended
